Summary of Principal Functions

Provide IT support for various applications related to Cliffs’ workforce management processes. Act as system administrator and analyst for various Software as a Service (SaaS) applications including:

  1. ADP Enterprise Version 5 (EV5) HRMS/Payroll system and its associated products, including Portal, ADPR, iPay, Employee Self Service (ESS);

  2. Concur Travel/Expense Management;

  3. Taleo Talent Acquisition;

  4. Taleo Talent Management; and

  5. Various benefit and retirement administration portals.

Responsible for system configuration, security administration, new user account setup, report development, interface design/development, and mass data imports. Assist in troubleshooting various interface and application issues. Work closely with vendors to ensure proper functioning applications and support service models.

Specific Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  1. Partner with various lines of business (HR/Payroll/Benefits/Account Payables/etc.) to ensure sound functionality of various workforce applications and provide superior customer service to the end users of those applications.

  2. Administers security access for ADP Enterprise, including new account establishment, managing operator classes, resetting passwords, maintaining the department security tree & account termination.

  3. Administer ADP portal security via NetSecure, setting up user access for ADPR, iReports, Quickview, iPay, and ESS.

  4. Field Cliffs’ internal help desk tickets related to the HR, Payroll and Travel & Expense systems.

  5. Prepare reports and data extracts using ADP Reporting and Query Utility. Troubleshoots users’ ad hoc reports.

  6. Act as Cliffs’ primary technical contact in dealing with SaaS vendors for support and project work.

  7. Collaborate with stakeholders to define short and long-term goals and establish a defined application roadmap for the organization.

  8. Research and troubleshoot interface issues between various applications.

  9. Develop SQL statements against HR/Payroll Tables.

  10. Performs data imports using the EV5 internal import tool utility.

  11. Investigate user problems, identify root cause, and pursue resolution.

  12. Manage support tickets/cases with external vendors.

  13. Administers user accounts for Concur Expense Expert, including adding new users, maintaining user data, acting as escalation point for Help Desk cases, and providing support as needed to Accounts Payable team.

  14. Perform various testing scenarios related to the applications and their interactions with browsers, third-party plugins, patches, security software, etc.

  15. Manage small/medium project work.

  16. Assist in migrating code/configuration changes to production, following Cliffs’ migration and change control procedures.

  17. Analyze data and assist the business with audit reporting and process improvements.

  18. Work closely with others in theCliffs I.T. department to deliver sound technical solutionsand functionality (i.e., Single Sign On capability, secure file transfers, security standards, etc.)

  19. Maintains applicable professional certifications and current technical knowledge.

Education/Experience Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related degree.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of administrative/technical experience with ADP Enterprise or PeopleSoft HRMS, including the following:
  • Experience in administering security in EV5 preferred.
  • Development of complex reports and data feeds using ADPR.
  • Understanding of core set up table configuration in an HRMS application desirable.
  • Understanding of Position Management.
  • Managing SaaS vendors and working through their support protocols.
  • Mass change, import and export utilities desirable.
  • Familiarity with systems development methodologies.
  • Functional HR/Benefit/Payroll experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Use of Microsoft Office products.

  • Familiarity with technical components related to applications (SSO, SFTP, third party software, Internet browser setting, etc.)
  • Knowledge of annual workforce processes (open enrollment, SOX reporting, tax/government reporting, mass compensation adjustments, etc.)
